Choose a focused target market

Austria and Slovakia are distinct markets. Build your list around industry, company size, region and purchasing needs. The Enterprise Europe Network database also offers partnering opportunities. A listing does not establish that a company is looking for a supplier of your product.

Prepare this before making contact

Your introduction should quickly explain who you help, what task you solve and under which conditions. Use a short, specific document rather than a lengthy general company profile.

  • A clear product or service and ideal customer profile.
  • Available capacity, minimum order and delivery lead time.
  • A German or Slovak introduction with checked technical terminology.
  • A designated contact who can turn an enquiry into a quotation.

Give one specific reason for making contact

Illustrative example: a metalworking company offers short-run production with a short lead time. Present this to a buyer for whom the component and batch size may be relevant. Do not claim an existing relationship or a known problem without evidence. Aim to start a brief discussion of needs.

Give follow-up a defined next step

Record outreach, completed conversations, the subject of interest and agreed next steps separately in your CRM. Clarify quantity, timing and the decision process before a quotation request. The number of emails sent alone does not tell you how many business opportunities were created.

Is translating the website enough?

Translation helps understanding, but replies, quotations and delivery also need to work. Your Europe provides guidance on selling products within the EU. GLOBEFOX supports relationship building through multilingual outreach and discussions; specific commercial terms need to be agreed before starting.
