An in-house salesperson or an outsourced sales team?
Responsibilities, total cost and visibility: use these criteria to compare the two sales models.

Define the job first
Finding companies, making first contact, preparing quotations and managing existing customers are different jobs. Specify which one you want to delegate, the languages needed and the product knowledge required. Salesforce distinguishes leads from purchase-ready opportunities. Define precisely what counts as a handed-over business opportunity in the agreement.
When can an in-house salesperson be a good fit?
An in-house colleague may suit ongoing customer management requiring deep product knowledge, where time is available for training, management and cover. Hiring alone does not deliver new customers: the target market, offer and sales process still need to be developed.
When can outsourcing make sense?
An outsourced team may help test a new market, make multilingual first contacts or take over the owner’s prospecting tasks. Agree the boundaries of research, outreach, follow-up and quotations in advance. Assign an owner to the tasks that remain with your company.
Compare the full commitment
Compare the same period and the same scope. Use your own cost data and agreed review points rather than generic promises of return.
- In-house team: total employment cost, onboarding, tools and management time.
- External team: service fee, setup effort and work retained by the client.
- In both cases: target companies, substantive conversations, quotation requests and next steps.
Who negotiates and who prepares quotations?
Settle this before deciding: who answers technical questions, approves prices and records contact history? GLOBEFOX agrees the scope of B2B acquisition work around the target market and task. Outsourcing is transparent when the handover point and the person responsible for continuing are clear.
